Wallguard - stops fire in its tracks
Wallguard is a two-part system comprising a glass fabric wallcovering and a scrubbable, durable specialist paint (from our Opti range). Together, this system forms a superior quality fire retardant decorating solution.
Both the wallcovering and specialist paint coating are non-toxic. If you choose the OptiBact coating, this offers bacterial protection for up to 10 years. The wallcovering itself comes with a 30-year guarantee.
Wallguard is suitable for use in all buildings, including tower blocks, street properties, hospitals, schools, nursing homes, restaurants and hotels.

Opti Coatings
Opti is a specialised coating range produced by The Decorating Centre, Wetherby. It’s available in four different finishes: OptiBact, OptiMatt, OptiSheen and OptiSatin. All Opti coatings are scrubbable, water-based, non-toxic, food-safe and suitable for allergy sufferers.
The OptiBact finish contains a high percentage of antimicrobial additive, which provides bacterial protection for up to 10 years. It’s ideal for use in hospitals, dentists, schools and nurseries where proper hygiene is paramount. Given the current situation with Covid-19, OptiBact is becoming increasingly popular for use in other communal settings too.
Opti coatings are fire retardant when applied over Wallguard’s SYSTEXX glass fibre wallcovering as part of the Wallguard System. For this usage, Opti coatings are certified to the standard DIN 13823 B-s1, d0 spread of flame.
